On this part of the 24option tutorial, which will be followed by a self-assessment test, we will focus on the possibility of using MetaTrader on 24option.
As we have mentioned in the previous lesson, MetaTrader is a famous software for professional trading that is useful for those who wish to operate at high levels by using their knowledge of technical analysis in order to improve their returns.
We will first see how to proceed to allow MetaTrader to work with 24option and then go deeper into the knowledge of this software, which everyone can learn to use using the time needed depending on their experiences.
Downloading the MT4 client on 24option
Let’s start with the basics. On this 24option official page, you can download the MT4 client.
You need to go down a bit in the page to find this box. As you can see, MetaTrader reminds us that it is one of the most popular charting and analysis software used by traders of any level of experience (in fact, for those who have no experience, it takes much more practice to use it compared to those who already have experience in online trading and technical analysis).
It reminds us that it offers all the most popular graphical tools and immediate execution of orders as well as real-time results.
To get started, click on the “Download MT4 Now” button.
Once you click the button, this other window will appear.
Here is 24option which reminds us of its offer of Forex and CFD trading through the MT4 platform, which provides everything you need to trade in a single trading environment.
To continue, click on the yellow button marked “Download MT4 desktop client”.
Once the yellow button is clicked, the installation file will be downloaded. This will be displayed in the download folder or on the desktop bar.
Click on the downloaded file to start the installation
When the installation is complete, the window with the terms and conditions will be displayed. If you wish to proceed, click the box at the bottom left and then Next.
Once this is done, an additional window opens in which you can choose whether to access in demo or real mode.
As you can see, you can access it in demo mode on MT4 in order to try it for free without making any deposit.
To proceed with the demo, select 24option-Demo and click Next.
It’s time to log in. Since we have already opened an account (see lesson 1), we can simply select the first circle “Existing trading account”.
In the Login space, we need to enter the account number (in a moment you will see how to recover it), and in the password field the one you also used to login to 24option (see lesson 1).
You can find the login data in your email box. If they’re not there, just contact the 24option’s help center.
When you are logged in to the 24option platform, a number appears at the top after the letters TA (Trading Account). That is your account number, which you must enter in the Login box to access the MetaTrader 4 platform.
The MT4 Platform
Above you can see how the MetaTrader 4 platform looks when you launch it.
The eye immediately falls on the charts, which takes in most of the space.
However, as you move your gaze, you realize that there is a myriad of buttons and voices, which we have talked about in our MetaTrader 4 course and to which we refer you to get all the information you need to trade on MetaTrader via 24option.
You have finished the guide! Now move on to our 24option’s self-assessment test.
